Hardwood Artisan's Glasgow Credenza provides the perfect secondary work surface and is a companion piece to our Glasgow Desk and Glasgow Professional Desk. When used as an active work surface, the credenza can be placed against the wall immediately behind or perpendicular to the main desk, but close enough that you can reach it from a seated position by simply swiveling your chair. It holds books and files and acts as a surface to display important credentials and memorabilia. This uniquely styled office credenza has the functionality for the serious but stylish at heart.

The drawer pulls on this piece are particularly compelling. Charles Rennie Mackintosh, a Scottish architect/designer/artist, gained recognition in the early part of the 20th century for his unusual use of square patterns combined with sensuous curves. While some consider his work to be in the Arts and Crafts style, others insist he blended Art Nouveau and Modernism. His work included public buildings and private residences and he often developed the furnishings and interior as well.

The Mackintosh drawer pulls complement oriental and contemporary furnishings as well as Art Deco and Arts and Crafts homes. Each is a solid, heavy casting, and true to the period. Made in England and hand finished in the USA.
