Parlor Chair

The word "parlor" comes from the Old French root that gives us the current French word "parler" or "to speak". The words "parliament" and "parley" have the same derivation. So the parlor was a comfortable, somewhat private room where one could have a meaningful conversation. The price of this piece includes the upholstering labor costs but not the cost of the fabric. If you choose to purchase this item, you will need to supply the fabric or leather in the amounts listed below.

For fabric, we recommend Greenhouse Fabrics and carry more than 50 of their fabric sample books in our retail stores.

For leather, we recommend Leather Hide Store and carry a large selection of prime quality leather samples in our retail stores.
