Mackintosh Collection

Inspired by the visionary work of Scottish architect and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868–1928), our Mackintosh Collection pays tribute to one of the defining figures of the Arts and Crafts movement and the Glasgow Style, a design philosophy that helped shape what later became known as Art Nouveau. Mackintosh's clean geometry, vertical emphasis, and subtle Asian influences inspired generations of designers, including many Arts and Crafts cabinetmakers and architects such as Frank Lloyd Wright.

Our interpretation honors that legacy while remaining unmistakably Hardwood Artisans. The graceful lines of our Mackintosh sofas, chairs, and sectional strike a balance between classic craftsmanship and contemporary design. Their timeless aesthetic feels equally at home in a cozy Craftsman bungalow, a traditional residence, or a modern loft with glass and steel architecture.

Every piece is handcrafted in Virginia from solid hardwood using time-honored furniture-making techniques. Mortise-and-tenon joinery provides exceptional strength and longevity, while each component is carefully shaped, hand-sanded, and finished by skilled artisans. The result is furniture built not only to reflect Mackintosh's enduring design philosophy but also to serve generations of daily use.

The Mackintosh Collection is also the only seating design we currently offer as a sectional. Designed for flexibility, each sectional separates into individual components for easier transportation and delivery while maintaining the same exceptional strength and craftsmanship as the rest of the collection.

Upholstery Choices
The price of this piece includes the upholstering labor costs but not the cost of the fabric. If you choose to purchase this item, you will need to supply the fabric or leather in the amounts listed below.

For fabric, we recommend Greenhouse Fabrics and carry more than 50 of their fabric sample books in our retail stores.

For leather, we recommend Leather Hide Store and carry a large selection of prime quality leather samples in our retail stores.
